LGDVC 4th Birthday Newsletter

Welcome Members and Guests

A special welcome to all our guests today

including National Councillor Fiona Spottiswood,

Zone Councillor Marie Daniels, VIEW members

from other Clubs and visitors. Welcome to Bryan

Butler who will entertain us with lots of melodies.

Welcome back to Molly Wise from her mishap

and Joyce Couch from gallivanting overseas.

Thank You Lake George members for participating in

Queanbeyan’s 30th Birthday celebrations. I was very

impressed with the support and I’m sure you all agree

what a good time was had.

It is my pleasure to inform you that Lake George has

finished the forty Library Bags. We had a lovely

afternoon with a light lunch, lots of laughter and babies

to feed. Considering the busy schedule I think the

Library Bags look fantastic. I wish to thank my band of

sewers but in particular Sue Maas from Lake George

who I know has also made bags for Goulburn VIEW Club.

For our special Christmas Raffle we have managed

to scoop up a beautiful Embroidered Chinese picture.

Tickets are only $1.00.

Members, Club elections will take place in October.

You should find a loose Nomination form in this

Newsletter. Please consider taking on one of the

roles to keep your club active. All positions become

vacant on the day, however you do not commence

your duties until our Annual General Meeting in

February next year. Need more information?

Come and talk to me or any of the committee

members.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all those

that are travelling to Brisbane for Convention a safe

journey and a wonderful and productive experience.

Enjoy the friendships from the past as you catch up

with friends and the new friendships to be made.

Have a good month, as we approach the warmer

weather and I hope to see many of you again at

Logan’s Cafe in Bungendore on the 16th of

September.

Yours in VIEW, Pauline Segeri
